Snappers Hold On For Win In Tight Contest With Aul Bat Co.
The Snappers were able to hold off Aul to pick up the win. After a quiet first inning both teams scored one run in the second. Tom McCarthy, Jon Zilles, and Tyler Holland all singled in the second to plate a run for the Snappers. Aul's Zach Galasso answered with an inside the park home run. The Snappers grabbed the lead back in the third inning when Clay Goff hit a solo shot over the center field fence. In the fourth inning the Snappers added two on a Brandon Whitfield double and a two run home run by Anthony Fanelli. Aul made it a close game in the bottom of the seventh by scoring two runs and leaving the bases loaded. Dan Heineke picked up the win tossing 5 innings allowing just one run.
