Hitter's Club Completes Season Sweep Of Quinn With 8-4 Win
The HC has certainly seen its share of ups and downs on the way to its current 5-13 record, but have certainly played its 2 best games against perennial powerhouse Quinn Construction. Overcoming an early 2 run deficit, the HC scored 3 in the 4th and capped it off with 5 in the 7th to top Quinn 8-4 at soggy Winklevoss field. Joe Kraft and Mike Sullivan scattered 8 hits between them in holding Quinn to just 2 earned runs. At the plate, the HC bunched 8 of its 11 hits in the 4th and 7th innings to account for all 8 runs. The HC returns to action Saturday in an effort to keep its slim playoff hopes alive, while Quinn prepares for its usual deep playoff run with a game against the Grays tomorrow.
