Logan Simmons And Devin Matey Combine For Shutout
The story of game two was the pitching of Quinn Construction. Logan Simmons pitched a scoreless four innings, and teammate Devin Matey finished the game with a scoreless three innings on the mound for the Mudcats. Quinn Construction started early as Jake Walker drew a walk to lead off the game and then caused all kind of havoc on the base paths. Walker advanced on a wild pitch, stole third, and then came home on an errant throw by the catcher. Ed Pfluger then immediately drilled a pitch into the trees for a 2-0 lead.
