BJs top Twins in Opener
Glory Days Blue Jays (1-0) defeated the Glory Days Twins (0-1) 14-0 in 5 innings in the season's opener for both teams.
The Blue Jays, sponsored by South Jersey Heat & Cool, were firing on all cylinders. GDBL legend Paul Gudzak led the offense for the BJs going 2-3 with 3runs 4rbi and a stolen base. Ryan Allen, Jared "Wig" Anicic, and rookie Tyler "Baseball" Hobbs each had 2 hit games. Hiram Ortiz, Marc Caputo, Stephen "Blue Cheese" McTigue, Vinny "Sweet Meat" Gibson, and Kyle Skoog each had a hit. Brian Cottrell had a perfect 1 inning 3 strike out inning to finish the game.
The Twins offense was led by GDBL veteran & local legend Frank Ruggiano. Frank went 2-2 with a double and a single. Chris Vivaldi added a single. GBDL veteran & local hero Scott Keefe had a beautiful pickoff as the pitcher to end the 1st inning.
