Huskies hang on against Maple Lake
The Huskies battled the Lakers down to the wire and escaped with 12-11 win on Friday night in Maple Lake. The Huskies took advantage of early mistakes from the Lakers in the first inning, scoring 5 times. Lakers chipped away at the lead and eventually had the winning run in scoring position in the 9th. Zach Kuseske earned the save closing the door. Larkun Kurth made his pitching debut, going 4.1 innings, allowing 7 runs and striking out 2. The win keeps the Huskies in first place in the B division of the North Star League.
