Dodgers triumph in see-saw game, coming from behind in 7th

In a game with 6 lead changes, the Vikings struck first, scoring on a Scott Friend sac fly in the first inning. The Dodgers took the lead in the top of the 3rd when 2 runners scored on a 2-out error. The Vikings would retake the lead in the 4th, scoring runs on a Josh Hill single, a walk and a fielder's choice with the help of a Dodgers error to extend the inning. This time, the Dodgers didn't wait to comeback. The first 3 batters reached in the 5th, with the last one being a Mark Haynes RBI single. Gary Perkins would add a sac fly later in the inning to tie the game at 4. Valentin Ramos would lead off the Vikings' fifth with a double and score on an Adrian Ferrer single to give the lead back to the Vikings and the score stayed that way until the 7th. Down to their last chance, the Dodgers loaded the bases with 1 out, when Wes Haller hit a grounder to shortstop. The Vikings tried to turn a game-ending double play, but Haller used his blazing speed to beat the throw to 1st and the Dodgers tied the game at 5. Gary Perkins would immediately follow that with a single to center field to give the Dodgers the lead. But now they had to navigate the top of the Vikings order to secure the win. The Vikings would hit the ball hard in the 7th, but Jeff Schwenk reincarnated Garry Maddox in centerfield, making all 3 outs before the Vikings could score to secure the win.
