Expos outlast Dodgers in back-and-forth rain-shortened game
The Expos jumped out early, scoring 3 in the bottom of the 1st for a 3-0 lead. The game remained that way until the 4th, when the Dodgers batted around, using 6 hits, 2 errors and a walk to score 5 runs. They added another run in the 5th, but the Expos turned an inning ending double play to keep the score at 6-3. In the bottom of the 5th, the Expos tied the game at 6 with 2 walks, an error and a single when Keith Acosta lined a homerun just to the right of center field to put the Expos ahead 8-6. The Expos added another run through the rain drops in the bottom of the 6th, but the precipitation over the last two innings had finally taken its toll so the game was ended after 6 innings.
