Indians wrap up win with 10 in 5th, pitch 4-hit shutout
The Indians slowly built the lead over the first 4 innings, scoring once or twice in each inning. Rob Myers had a 2-run single and Jared Grim had a sac fly and RBI single as the Indians built a 6-0 lead. Meanwhile, Craig Holman pitched 4 shutout innings allowing 4 hits with 3 strikeouts and no walks. In the top of the 5th, the floodgates opened and it was 16-0 by the time the hits stopped flowing. Holman, Chaz Ruth and Cory Goshorn each had 2-run hits in the big inning. Rob Myers completed the time-shortened shutout in the 5th with 2 Ks and a walk.
Ruth led all batters with 3 hits, while Goshorn led with 4 RBIs. Chad Moser, Grim, Rick Thompson, Myers, Holman and Goshorn had 2 hits in the win.
