Royals conquer Orioles, scoring 19 before Os scored in 7th
The Royals scored first in the bottom of the first, taking advantage of an error to score 3 unearned runs. They doubled their scored in the 3rd with 3 more, punctuated by a 2-out, 2-run single by B.J. Eves. They doubled their score again in the 4th, to 12-0, with Neal Landis smacking a 2-run double in the inning. The Royals finished their scoring in the 6th to go up 19-0 with Jesse Kling knocking in the last 2 runs on a bases loaded double. In the meantime, Chris Caldwell and Andy Mumma held the Orioles to one hit through 6 innings. Mumma was perfect, retiring 9 straight batters, with 1 strike out.
