Brew Crew jump out early with 8-run 2nd to cruise to win
The Brew Crew made 2 errors in the top of the 1st, but managed to escape without allowing a run. They then took advantage of a leadoff error in the bottom of the inning to take a 2-0 lead on a 2-out, 2-run single by Chris Staub. Scoring 6 of 8 runs with 2 outs in the 2nd, the Brew Crew opened up a 10-0 lead with the big hits being a 2-run single by Bobby Reddick and a bases-clearing double by Staub. In the 3rd, Skylar Hamill extended the lead to 12-0 with a 2-run double. The Red Sox got on the board in the 5th, stringing 3 singles together with Jayson Wachter knocking in Oscar Blanco with the last one. Mark Lomenzo picked up the win with 4 scoreless innings, allowing only 2 hits while striking out 7.
Chris Staub led all hitters with 3 hits and 5 RBIs and picked up the save with 3 innings of 2-run relief. Mark Lomenzo also had 3 hits for the Brew Crew. Skylar Hamill, Jordan Jacobs, and Bobby Reddick added a pair of hits in the victory. For the Red Sox, Jayson Wachter had 2 hits and an RBI.
