Expos hand Brew Crew their first loss with 4 runs in the 7th

The starting pitchers dominated the first 4 innings. The Brew Crew's Barak Gohn only allowed 3 hits and struck out 7 without allowing a run. The Expos' Zach Nahass wasn't too far behind, allowing only 4 hits with 3 Ks and 1 run. In the bottom of the 2nd, Mark Lomenzo hit an RBI single to right field to plate the only run in the first 4 innings. In the 5th inning, Jeremy Gottsch hit a 1-out triple to right center and scored on James Guiseppe's 2-out single to give the Brew Crew a 2-0 lead. The Expos finally got on the board in the 6th when Jim Lyter hit a 2-out single up the middle that deflected off the end of the shortstop's glove for a base hit. The Brew Crew loaded the bases in the 6th, but a humpback liner to 1st and a grounder to 3rd kept the game close at 2-1 entering the 7th. In the top of the 7th, the Expos loaded the bases with no outs on a hit batter, single and walk, then tied the game on a grounder to 2nd that was booted in an attempt to get the runner at 2nd. Chris Grothe followed with an RBI single to right to put the Expos ahead 3-2. A Rico Riccobono sac fly and Nate Estabrook ground out RBI provided a few runs of insurance going to the bottom of the 7th. Barak Gohn led of the inning with a double, moved to 3rd on an error and scored on a ground out to bring the Brew Crew within 2, but Nate Estabrook tracked down two deep fly balls to center field to end the game and lock up the win for the Expos. Keith Acosta picked up the win on the mound, pitching 3 innings while allowing 2 runs (1 earned) and 5 hits.
