Allegheny Vision Wins Over Base Invaders
Base Invaders got on the board in the top of the first inning after an error scored one run. But Allegheny Vision took the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first thanks to doubles by Mac Ciocco and Nick Arnoni. They then added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when Ciocco doubled, scoring two runs, and one run scored on a play on the bases. Derrick Shields earned the win for the Vipers, he only allowed two hits and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out six and walking one. Brady Hodge took the loss for Base Invaders, the hurler went one inning, surrendering three runs on three hits, striking out two and walking three. Drew Peterson pitched three innings of zero-run ball for Allegheny Vision in relief, he allowed three hits, striking out two and walking one to earn the save. The victories Vipers collected 10 hits in the game, Arnoni and Silvio Ionadi each collected three hits. Arnoni and Ciocco each drove in two runs for the Vipers. Dan Flynn collected two hits for Allegheny Vision in four at bats.
