JJ Siemon Throws Shutout As Base Invaders Defeat Aul Bat Co.
JJ Siemon threw a shutout to lead the Base Invaders past Aul Bat Company 5-0 on Tuesday. The Base Invaders jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Nolan Hurd drew a walk, scoring one run, Will Somers was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Ben Lentz singled, scoring one run, and Michael Todd singled, scoring two runs. Josh Dailey began the game for Aul Bat Company. The hurler allowed four hits and five runs over four innings, striking out three and walking two. Mike Todd, the number eight hitter for Base Invaders, led the way with two runs batted in. Todd went 1-for-2 on the day. Ethan Steinmetz, Noah Kaszer, Brady McGough, Lentz, Brady Hodge, and Todd each collected one hit for Base Invaders. Base Invaders worked the count all day, piling up seven walks The Base Invaders didn't commit a single error in the field. Suss had the most chances in the field with eight. Traynor Janosko and TJ Dailey each collected one hit for Aul Bat Company. Aul Bat Company had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Dimitri Gary and Pat Aul led the team with two bases on balls each. Aul Bat Company turned one double play in the game.
