Logan Exler Leads Netto's Past Base Base Invaders
Logan Exler was dominant on the hill, as the left-handed pitcher rang up 10 strikeouts in Netto's Snack Shack's 10-2 victory over Base Invaders on Thursday. Exler surrendered four hits and two runs over five innings while walking one. Base Invaders got on the board in the top of the second inning after Netto's committed an error that lead to their first run and Ethan Steinmetz singled to left field for the second. Netto's Snack Shack then tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to an error and a sacrifice fly by Nick Harhai. The Snack Shack then scored eight runs in the fifth inning on the way to victory. Carson McCurdy singled, scoring one run, Matt Bisceglia singled, scoring one run, Julio Rondon singled, scoring one run, Matt Nowicki was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Harhai was struck by a pitch, driving in a another, Andrew Cornetto drew a walk, scoring one run, and Roman Donis singled, scoring two runs.
Harhai and Roman Donis each drove in two runs for Netto's. McCurdy led the Snack Shack with two hits in three at bats.
