Bottom Of The Lineup Carries Netto's In Win Over Bulldogs
The bottom of the lineup for Netto's, led by Roman Donis and Christian Hoffman, combined for five of the team's nine hits. The Snack Shack started the scoring in the first inning when Ryan Tierney singled into left field and eventually made his way to third on a stolen base and a passed ball. Tierney was knocked in by a ground out by Kaden Flambard. Netto's then scored six runs in the second on the way to victory. Hoffman singled, scoring two runs, Flambard singled, scoring three runs, and Alex Polka doubled off the left-center field wall, scoring one run. Hoffman would go on to collect a third RBI in the third inning from a single. The Bulldogs began to fight back in the seventh inning, tallying two runs thanks to a sacrifice fly by Clay Groff and an RBI single from Dante Yobbi. Logan Exler earned the win for Netto's, giving up two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking none. Colin Docherty started on the mound for the Bulldogs and surrendered 3 runs in 1 1/3 innings on 1 hit. The Snack Shack's hitting was led by Roman Donis, who had three hits, and Flambard and Hoffman, who each drove in three runs. The Bulldogs hitting was led by Yobbi, Mitch Robinson, Ryan Dougherty and Brenden Gray, who each collected one hit. Yobbi and Groff each collected an RBI for the Bulldogs.
