Bulldogs Knock off Rust After Week of Rain
The bulldogs and River Cats were in a pitchers duel up all the way through the 5th inning when the Bulldogs finally opened up the scoring with 2 in the top of the 6th. Clay Groff started the inning with a single and then the Bulldogs loaded the bases on a couple of errors. Zach Gray singled in two to end the scoreless streak. The River Cats answered with one of their own in the bottom of the sixth, but the Bulldogs were able to add some insurance runs in the 7th to extend their lead. Groff had a three hit day for the Bulldogs. Dylan Pounds threw a complete game with 11 strikeouts in the victory.
