Netto's Sets New Franchise Record With 11-win Season
Netto's Snack Shack got on the board in the top of the first inning after a wild pitch scored one run, and Nick Rillo singled, scoring two runs. Upper St. Clair then tied the game in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a sacrifice fly by Logan Wyatt, and a single by Josh Burlingame. Netto's jumped back into the lead in the top of the fifth inning after Noah Donis doubled to center field, Kaden Flambard singled down the left field line, and Nick Rillo hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run, making it a 6-3 ballgame. The Snack Shack added some more runs in the top of the sixth inning behind a single by Nick Harhai and and sac fly by Roman Donis. Christian Hoffman earned the win for Netto's. The right-handed pitcher gave up one hit and three runs over four innings, striking out one and walking five. Manko took the loss for Upper St. Clair. The starting pitcher went seven innings, allowing eight runs on 13 hits, striking out three and walking one. Zach Karp threw two innings of scoreless ball for Netto's in relief. The reliever surrendered one hit, striking out none and walking two. Netto's Snack Shack piled up 13 hits in the game. Ryan Tierney set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Netto's with three hits in four at bats. Rillo went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Andrew Cornetto and Hoffman also each collected multiple hits for Netto's.
