Vipers Walk-Off In Extras Over Mudcats

Vipers walk-off in back and forth contest against Quinn Construction. It came down to the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 outs on Thursday at Baker Park, as the Allegheny Vision Vipers secured the victory in walk-off fashion, 8-7, over Quinn Construction. The game was tied at seven in the bottom of the ninth when Dave Boehme doubled to deep right field, scoring the game winning run. Allegheny Vision Vipers came back to win despite trailing 7-3 in the sixth inning. The Vipers got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Nick Arnoni grounded into a fielder's choice and Paul Connolly singled to left field, each scoring one run. Quinn Construction jumped into the lead in the top of the third when Jim Pasquine singled, scoring one run and Eric Morrison homered to left field, scoring three runs. Allegheny Vision tied the game in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a well hit double by Arnoni, a single by Connolly, an error, and off the bench Adam Crawford came in with authority hitting a single. Ethan Tinker earned the win for the Vipers, the reliever surrendered zero hits and zero runs over three and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one. Jake Bryant took the loss for Quinn Construction, the pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out three and walking two. Jake Seymour started on the hill for Allegheny Vision Vipers, he allowed 10 hits and seven runs (six earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one. Luke Hils stepped on the hill first for Quinn Construction, he surrendered nine hits and six runs (five earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out two and walking three. Allegheny Vision collected 11 hits in the game - number nine hitter, Connolly, showed the depth of Allegheny Vision Vipers lineup by leading them with three hits in four at bats. Devin Donaldson collected two hits for the victors in five at bats. Daniel Boehme led Allegheny Vision with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. Mac Ciocco swiped two bases - while the Vipers as a team ran wild on the base paths, amassing four stolen bases for the game.
