Netto's Shuts Out Quinn Construction In Pitching Duel

Both teams were strong on the hill tonight, however Netto's Snack Shack came out on top in the tough match. Starting pitchers Logan Exler (Netto's) and Luke Hils (Quinn Construction) each prevented any runs from scoring while they were on the mound. Things looked grim for Netto's in the top of the first inning, when Quinn Construction had bases loaded with no outs. Exler thou struck out the next two batters and then got the final batter to ground out, preventing Quinn Construction from scoring at all in that inning. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Ryan Tierney led off with a triple to put himself in scoring position. Ethan Coddington then hit a ground out to the first baseman that was enough to knock in Tierney and score the only run of the game. After that, Shane Clunan entered on the mound for Netto's and recorded a 3-inning save, solidifying the win for the home team. Exler earned the win for Netto's finishing with 3 hits, 6 K's and no runs scored through 4 strong innings. Quinn's hitting was led by Tarran Senay, Jim Pasquine, Corey Kuszaj and Logan Simmons, who each collected one hit.
