Mets Surge Late to Dominate Ducks
At Warren County Sports Complex, the Cincinnati Mets put together a late-game rally to overpower the Dayton Ducks, securing an impressive 11-4 victory.
Despite an early lead from the Ducks, the Mets found their rhythm in the fourth and fifth innings, then closed the game with a four-run seventh. Dave Schultian and Kyle Hensley provided clutch performances, both at the plate and on the mound. Schultian notched three runs and two hits while also locking down the save with three scoreless innings. Hensley contributed four runs offensively and picked up the win as the starting pitcher.
Marty Heckard delivered a standout performance, driving in three RBIs as part of Cincinnati?s 13-hit night. Meanwhile, the Ducks struggled offensively after a promising start, managing only five hits in the contest.
With strong pitching and timely hitting, the Mets showed resilience and execution, proving they can battle back even when trailing early.
