Mets Dominate in 28-3 Blowout Over Gems
The Mets delivered an offensive explosion at the Warren County Sports Complex, routing the Gems 28-3 in a lopsided contest on June 11. The Mets wasted no time, racking up 12 runs in the first inning and never looking back.
John Vogele led the charge with a flawless 3-for-3 performance, scoring three times and driving in two runs. Teammates Brian Koury, Jeff Brokamp, and Billy McDonald each collected three hits, contributing to the Mets' overwhelming 22-hit total. Every Mets batter reached base at least once, making the Gems' defensive struggles even more apparent.
