Game 4- Quinn Construction Just Gets Past Aul Bat Company

A trip to the semi finals was on the line this afternoon at Winklevoss Field in West Mifflin, PA. And a tie breaking run in the fifth inning will send Quinn Construction onto the next round. The visiting Aul Bat Company side took an early 2-0 lead with single runs in each of the second and third innings. The first one came on three consecutive singles to lead off the frame by Thomas Medwig, Jordan Sabol and Patrick Aul. But Quinn starting pitcher Luke Hils came thru and got out of the jam without allowing any more runs to score. Medwig's double drove in the next run for Aul Bat Company. The bottom of the third saw Quinn Construction tie the score on singles from Corey Kuszaj, Tarran Senay, Jim Pasquine, Dylan Kugler and a sacrifice fly from Eric Morrison. Mike Huber's two out single drove home the decisive run in the fifth inning after Pasquine got on board with his second hit of the day. Zane Griffaton picked up the win for the Mudcats as he struck out four over the final 2 1/3 innings while allowing only one hit as he worked out of the bull pen. Quinn Construction starter Hils gave up 4 hits and two walks in the first 4 2/3 innings of the game. Medwig and Patrick Aul each had a pair of hits for Aul Bat Company.
