Game 8- Mudcats Advance To Finals With Comeback Win

A Brendan Gray two out triple gave the Bulldogs an early 2-0 lead in the first inning off of Quinn starter, Corry Ryan. Quinn Construction cut that lead in half in the bottom of the second when Tarran Senay doubled home Aidan Munsie to make it 2-1. The Bulldogs would extend their lead with one run in the third and two more in the fourth, for a commanding 5-1 lead. Quinn Construction came out swinging in the bottom half of the fourth and regained the lead. After Zane Griffaton walked, Munsie ripped a triple into the right center gap to make it 5-2. Senay walked to put runners at the corners and Jim Pasquine doubled down the left field line to make it 5-3. Eric Morrison grounded out to score Senay making it 5-4. With two outs, Dylan Kugler walked to put runners at first and second. Mike Huber brought them both home with a double down into the left field corner making it 6-5 Quinn Construction. This makes it two in a row for Huber, as he also drove home the game winning run for Quinn Construction in their opening round win over Aul Bat Company. In the top of the fifth, the Mudcats turned the game over to youngster Caden Wills on the mound. The West Mifflin High School senior to be was impressive on the mound as he tossed a scoreless fifth, sixth and seventh inning to earn the save. Wills was helped out by his defense as they turned a double play in the sixth and seventh inning. The Quinn Construction infield finished with three twin killings on the day. Bulldogs were lead at the plate with two hits each from Brendan Gray, Clay Groff and Andrew Vincent. Corey Kuszaj and Pasquine paced the winner as each knocked out a pair of hits.
