Sox edge unbeaten Brewers
The Red Sox had their hitting shoes on in a tough match up with the first place Brewers pounding out 19 hits, 5 for extra bases to take the victory.
The game opened with a lead off Jackson Tangen bomb to deep left center keying a 4 run first but the Brewers answered with 4 of their own to tie it at 4.
The Red Sox kept the pressure on with 4 more runs in the 3rd but the Brewers respond in the 4th to make it an 8-7 game going into the 5th when Don McLain collected his 2nd double of the day and scored on Frank Picha's two run single. The Sox had a mental lapse in the 6th with 4 errors to bring the Brewers back to within 2 at 12-10 however a two out, two strike clutch single by Ethan Wolferman kept the Sox on top.
Don McLain had 3 hits and scored 3 runs, Brian Stoltz had a 3 for 3 day plus two walks, 3 runs scored and 2 RBI's. The Sox also got two hits from Jackson Tangen, Jamie Macek and 2 RBI?s + 2 runs scored, the hot hitting Richard Glavas, Frank Picha and Danny Tangen.
Marty Campbell went 5 on the mound before giving way to Don McLain who kept the Brewers in check for a 4 inning save.
