Netto's Wins After 7th Inning Comeback & Walk-Off

Allegheny Vision came out strong in the bottom of the 2nd inning and broke the tie. The hitting was started by a double by Dave Boehme. Alex Arrigo then hit a single, moving Boehme to third. Boehme then scored on a wild pitch, making the score 1-0 for Allegheny Vision. Michael Hershberger then walked up and hit a double to right field, scoring Alex Arrigo and making the score 2-0. Allegheny Vision added on another run in the bottom of the 3rd inning, behind a single from Devin Donaldson that knocked in one run, making the score 3-0. This lead was held until the 7th inning, when Netto's finally broke it. Netto's started off the bottom of the 7th inning with a walk from Brady Caplan. After recording an out, Caplan was thrown out trying to advance to third on a failed pickoff attempt that resulted in a throwing error, bringing the Snack Shack down to their last out. Ryan Tierney reached first base on a ground ball single to the shortstop. Netto's then had 3 consecutive walks by Alex Polka, Jake Holmes and Kaden Flambard. One run was scored on Flambard's walk, making the score 3-1 in favor of Allegheny Vision. Mike Todd then followed with a single to right field, knocking in another run, making the score 3-2 for Allegheny Vision. While Ethan Coddington was up to bat, Jake Holmes scored on a wild pitch, tying the game at 3-3. Coddington then put the ball in play and reached first base safely on a ground ball single to third base, ending the game in Walk-Off fashion with a 4-3 victory for Netto?s. Both starting pitchers had solid starts on the mound. Allegheny Vision's Derrick Shields threw 6 innings, only surrendering 2 hits and recording 10 strikeouts. Netto's starter Luke Ruskay threw 5 innings, giving up 9 hits and 3 earned runs. Christian Hoffman earned the win in relief, throwing 2 hitless innings for Netto's.
