Noah Scheel Strong As Allegheny Vision Shut Out Rivercats

The Allegheny Vision Vipers put together a complete team performance on Thursday night at the Port Vue Athletic Association, rolling to a 9-0 victory over 3 Rivers Barbershop X PVRC behind a masterful outing from Noah Scheel. The starting pitcher was in complete control from the first pitch, firing a four-hit shutout and never allowing PVRC to gain any offensive momentum. The left-hander attacked the strike zone all night and kept hitters off balance, preserving the Vipers clean sheet from start to finish. The Vipers wasted little time getting on the board; in the top of the first inning, Devin Donaldson delivered an RBI single to give Allegheny Vision an early 1-0 lead and set the tone for the evening. The game broke open in the second inning when the Vipers erupted for five runs - Shaun Kellermann delivered the biggest blow of the night, launching a three-run home run over the left field fence that energized the dugout and gave Allegheny Vision full control. Adam Crawford followed with an RBI double, and Dave Boehme later drew a bases-loaded walk to cap the inning and extend the lead. Offensively, the Vipers pounded out 10 hits and showcased a disciplined approach at the plate, drawing six walks throughout the contest. Dave Boehme, Donaldson and Chris Eisel each recorded two hits to lead the attack, while Dave Boehme and Shaun Kellermann drove in three runs apiece. Mac Ciocco added to the offensive pressure with a pair of walks as the Vipers consistently put runners on base. Dominant pitching, timely power, disciplined at-bats, and error-free defense, the Vipers delivered a complete performance in the 9-0 shutout victory.
