Vipers Complete The Sweep Of Upper St. Clair

Allegheny Vision Vipers ousted Upper St. Clair 6-2 at Boyce Mayview Park behind a balanced offensive attack and a dominant performance from the bullpen. Upper St. Clair struck first in the opening inning, taking a 1-0 lead after Finn Baird worked a bases-loaded walk. The Vipers quickly settled in and responded in a big way an inning later. Allegheny Vision broke through with four runs in the bottom of the second inning to seize control of the game. Shaun Kellermann and Elias Lippincott each delivered RBI singles before Devin Donaldson broke it open with a clutch two-run triple, giving the Vipers a 4-1 advantage. The offense added insurance throughout the game, highlighted by Daniel Boehme's towering solo home run to left field in the sixth inning that energized the team and extended the lead. After Joey Pugh battled through the opening inning, the Vipers' bullpen took over and never looked back. Jason Nuttridge was outstanding in relief, earning the victory with four strong innings while allowing just one hit and one unearned run. He struck out three and consistently kept Upper St. Clair off balance. Noah Scheel and Adam Crawford each added scoreless relief appearances to close out another impressive collective team victory. Donaldson led the offensive charge with a stellar 3-for-4 performance while driving in a game-high three runs. Daniel Boehme and Lippincott each recorded multiple hits, helping power the Vipers to a productive night at the plate. Upper St. Clair received hits from Mike Bruckner, Nolan Wilson and Evan Smirniw.
