Vipers Bats Impress Over Plum Resulting In 10 Run Rule

The Allegheny Vision Vipers delivered another dominant performance Monday night, cruising to a 10-0 shutout victory over the Plum Pterodactyls at Baker Field. The Vipers wasted no time setting the tone, erupting for three runs in the opening inning. Alex Arrigo came through with a clutch bases-clearing single to put Allegheny Vision in command early. The offense kept its foot on the gas in the third inning, extending the lead with a relentless string of timely hits. Nico Knight ripped an RBI double to left field before Arrigo lined another run-scoring single down the left-field line. Daniel Boehme capped the rally with an RBI single of his own, helping the Vipers pull away for good. Allegheny Vision's pitching staff was just as impressive as the offense. Easton Klein got the start and fired two scoreless innings, allowing only two hits while striking out three. Jason Nuttridge took over in relief and earned the win with three shutout innings, scattering three hits without issuing a walk as the Vipers combined to blank Plum. At the plate, the Vipers pounded out 10 hits in another balanced offensive attack. Arrigo led the charge with a 3-for-3 performance, driving in three runs. Adam Crawford continued his hot stretch, collecting two hits while swiping two bases to keep constant pressure on the defense. Knight and Dan Boehme each added key RBIs as Allegheny Vision's lineup produced from top to bottom. The Vipers were equally sharp defensively, turning a double play and playing error-free baseball. Plum was led offensively by Colin Solinski and Jake Auld, who each recorded two hits.
