Runs Hard To Come By In Mount Lebanon Win
Both teams were strong on the bump on Wednesday, but Mount Lebanon defeated Allegheny Vision Associates 2-1 Ryan Bioni started the game for Mount Lebanon and turned in the complete game. Mount Lebanon got on the board in the top of the second inning after Luca Borris grounded out, and Bioni singled down the right field line, each scoring one run. Bioni gave up three hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one. Joey Pugh led things off on the bump for Allegheny Vision Associates. The pitcher allowed five hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking four. Anthony Mincarelli and Bioni each collected two hits for Mount Lebanon. Bioni and Borris were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Mount Lebanon. Paul Connolly, Alex Arrigo and Chris Eisel each collected one hit for Allegheny Vision Associates. Allegheny Vision Associates turned two double plays in the game.
