Alex Polka's Grand Slam Caps Netto's 9-3 Win
Ryan Tierney started off the game with a double down the left field line. He was later knocked in on a fielder's choice from Roman Donis, making the score 1-0 with Netto's in the lead. In the bottom of the first inning, South Park responded with a solo home run from Cody Geddes. The game remained tied until the 4th inning, when Mike Todd singled with the bases loaded, knocking in one run and giving Netto's a 2-1 lead. Netto's added another run in the 6th inning behind a single from Donis. In the 7th inning, Netto's bats started getting hot, putting up 6 runs. Andrew Cornetto singled in a run, Ryan Tierney walked with the bases loaded and earned an RBI, then Alex Polka came up and cleared the bases with a grand slam. With the bases loaded, Geddes walked, scoring a run. Then, Ray Altmeyer hit a sac fly to right field. Even down 9-1, South Park did not give up and put up 2 runs before the game concluded. Shane Clunan earned the win for Netto's, throwing all 7 innings, finishing with 3 ER's and 3 K's. Sebastian Schein got the loss on the mound for South Park, despite throwing 6 strong innings, giving up 3 ER's and collecting 10 K's.
