Jake Bryant And Zane Griffaton Combine For 1-Hitter
It was a low scoring affair at PVAA. With the score tied 0-0 in the 5th, Jim Pasquine drew a leadoff walk and came home for the games first run on a Dylan Kugler double. Kugler made it 2-0 when he scored on a two out single by Dylan Mallozzi. The Mudcats added an unearned run in the 6th to end the scoring at 3-0. Mudcats starter, Jake Bryant cruised through the first three innings but ran into trouble in the 4th. A leadoff walk and an error put runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs. Zane Griffaton came in and quelled the threat keeping the score knotted at 0-0. The Bryant/Griffaton combo carried a no-hitter into the 7th inning when Mike Switala broke it up with a one-out single up the middle. Switala went the distance on the mound for Port Vue and suffered the loss. Griffaton earned the win in relief.
