Tigers get in win column
Bryan Martyn pitched a stellar six against the always hard-hitting Rookies, giving up only 2 earned to lead the Tigers to their first win of the season. Two-hit performances by the Cats included: Justin Pascoe, Dale Berman, Doug MacKenzie and Vince Waters (2 doubles). Josh Segal stole 4 bases on way to scoring 4 runs, Gary DeGroot pitched two clean innings in relief and Mario Mora broke both the Tiger and Stengel Field record for longest single (400 feet to dead center) with his bases-loaded knock in the 5th.
