BIRDS PITCHING TO MUCH FOR A's

BK pitches awesome in 2 innings. The birds score 1 run on a fly ball that popped out of Joey's glove. Awesome try Joey keep it up. A couple of nice plays by BK and Bryan at pitcher and first. Andre and Nick pitching in the 3rd inning throwing real hard but just a little wild. Remember it is more important to get the ball over the plate than it is to throw it hard. Good try by both players. Awesome job by Bryan pitching in the 4th inning. Nice hits by Bryan(2),Brendan (1) and Andre (1). Special thanks to Kevin and Scotty for taking one for the team. Way to go guys. As far as hitting goes make sure you measure your bat from the plate, don't crowd the plate, stop backing away from the plate, stay there and swing. The pitchers are not throwing any faster than Coach Vinny does in practice. Don't be scared. If you get hit you go to first base. Kevin was hit in both games, but it doesn't hurt that much. Remember to swing at anything that can be called a strike, don't stand ther looking at the pitches and saying it high and inside the umpire makes the calls and you get the hits. As far as parents go please do not ever complain about balls and strikes whether its an umpire or a coach. If there is a bad call we will get them the next time. We do not want to be the team complaining about balls and strikes. Once again management would like to thank Kat for going up there and taking her hacks. Kat had some really great swings, when she starts connecting its going to be bad news for the Farm American. Even though we lost this game 5-1 it was a great game and everybody played very, very well. Remember to cheer for your team not be running around outside the dugout please. Our goal is to go the whole season without having to bench anyone. If you don't know what riding the pine is ask your parents. I'm very, very proud of the way we played in this game keep up the good work and remember you can practice at home. You shouldn't only practice at our practices. You can throw a tennis ball at a wall and catch it. You can practice your pitching motion in the house without a ball. You can practice gripping the ball in your room. Remember to use your noodle out there and oh yeah we have to play like a unit.
