Pasta Too Overcomes 8 Run Deficit With Adam Dodson Walk Off
Trailing by 8 runs in the bottom of the 5th, Pasta Too mounted a furious comeback to tie the game at 10 and eventually win it on an Adam Dodson walk off single in the bottom of the 7th. Dodson also picked up the win on the mound in relief by throwing the Pasta Too squad on his back for 4 strong innings. The "Hefty Lefty" allowed only 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4 and giving his team a chance to stage the unlikely comeback. Pasta Too exploded for 8 hits and took advantage of 2 walks in the 5th frame to deadlock the game at 10, scoring 6 times with 2 outs. A Nick Arnoni 3 run line drive homer was a major blow to the Outlaws as it took the score from 10-7 to 10-10. The score remained there until the bottom of the 7th when Chad Jacob reached on an error and Ryan Dodson singled for his 3rd hit of the night. After a groundout and with the runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Outlaws intentionally walked Arnoni to face Adam Dodson. Dodson would end it with a single between 3rd and short to keep Pasta Too undefeated at 7-0. Brandon Warner collected 2 hits, one a first inning solo home run, and 3 RBI for the winners. Chad Jacob added 2 RBI and tripled during the come from behind thriller. Zach Mancz of the Outlaws finished with 4 RBI on a bases clearing double and a sacrifice fly. Jacob Davey and Tyler Seliga each collected 2 hits for the Outlaws who fall to 1-5 on the season. Pasta Too will be back in action Sunday evening to take on Dorido's Restaurant in a 7:00 P.M. matchup at Evans Park.
