Corry Ryan And Logan Simmons Team Up For 1-Hitter
The first three innings dragged along as the Mudcats and Outlaws had to wait it out through two lightning delays. The rain and clouds went away and Quinn Construction went to work. In the top of the 4th, Jim Pasquine singled and went to third on Tarran Senay’s single. Pasquine scored when the pickoff attempt at first went astray, making it 1-0. Senay came across to score on Todd Sekowski’s single. After Nate Thimons walked, Colin Williamson laced a ball down the left field line scoring Sekowski and Thimons for a 4-0 lead. Logan Simmons then drove in Williamson with a single to make it 5-0. That’s all Quinn Construction would need as Corry Ryan and Logan Simmons shutdown the Outlaws offense backed by terrific infield defense from Pasquine, Williamson, Jake McCaskey, and Senay. McCaskey, Senay, and Sekowski all had multi-hit games to lead the offense for the Mudcats. The win officially locks up the regular season title for Quinn Construction and guarantees them the first seed overall heading into the playoffs.
