Close contest goes Carlton's way!!

The Carlton Clippers defeated Vets/Knights in 7 innings on Monday night. Brett Bordeaux plated the winning run with one out in the 7th on a bunt single. Ryan Golden scored the winning run - one of two he scored on the night. Shawn Whittier pitched 5 innings and allowed only 3 hits and 3 runs. Vets scored 4 runs in the top of the sixth to force extra innings. Andy Ashworth (who also pitched 3 strong innings) singled to open the 6th and scored on Trevor Hadick's double. Justin Holforth drove in the tying run with a single.
