Bandits Top Reds
Despite a 3 run first inning, including a lead off HR by Cedric Watson, the Reds could not hold off the Bandits as they rallied when needed to take care of the Reds, 15 - 8. Jeff Wells picked up the win going 5 innings while Jeff Gould got the save in shutting down the Reds over the final 3 innings. Celino Escalante and Nathan Ross led the Reds with 3 hits apiece but the Reds pitching allowed 9 base on balls which helped the Bandits to victory. Mike Guise, Mike Rojas, Jon Scheuerman and Steve Barnhart all had two hits each on the day for the Bandits, while Garrett Worchell continued his eagle eye at the plate with a clutch single in the 5th inning to bring home two runs. Worchell also had 3 BBs for the day. Ray Smith had a big two out double in the 7th that brought in two more runs and put the game out of reach for the Reds. Reds v. Bandits...always a tough match!
