This contest featured the first team to utilize "participation/teamwork encouraged" - 12 man roster (Purple). The purple team struggled early to find rotation and adjust to Black's defense to fastbreak offense. Ray Williams, Demi Turner & Samuel Haile provided the Offense for Purple while Kamil Alexander, Tony Burns & Don Stanley put forth great defensive intensity, influenced by Purples Co-Captain Ron Alston.

The Black team's offense cliqued early with only 5 players,then they had to perserve through losing their leading scorer Will Josyln for 5 minutes due to recieving a technical foul. Joe DeMauro finished the game with an astounding 9 blocks & Todd McGuinness recieved player of the game for his offensive/defensive and coaching efforts on the floor.
