Seagulls hold on in Double OT Classic
In one of the cleanest and tightest of battles, the Seagulls survived. The team went up by double digits ending the first half, leading by as many as 13. The Knights made a run early 2nd half to close the deficit down and eventually with less than 5 left the team took the lead after a few very wild shots that fell in. The 2 teams traded leads for the last few minutes of regulation, the biggest shot being the one to tie it up, a Dave Delattre contested 3 that sunk in. With 20 or so seconds left the team held for 1 and Mike Blank's shot just missed. In OT the teams once again battled it out in a very tight one and once again the tying shot was a huge Dave Delattre 3. Once again the Seagulls had the ball in the end, held for 1. There once again the team missed a very tough and contested shot. In Double OT the Seagulls pulled through as the team made little to no mistakes while the Knights had a few wasted possessions. What a classic.
