Clippers hit on switch and rally, hold on in OT classic In a game that lacked intensity and effort for most of the early portions, when the final minutes ticked down both teams went hard and fought. In final minutes Clippers found themselves down 10 with about 5 to go, after a timeout and team decision on what team they wanted to play in playoff matchup, the Clippers got energized as the team went on a big run that the team actually would take the lead with only a few seconds remaining. Both teams played clutch down stretch and hit the big shots, the Clippers simply couldn't hit free throws, allowing the Oaks to stay in game despite missing vital ones at times. Kevin Quinn hit a big shot to tie game, although there was much dispute if it was a 2 or 3. With the game tied and only 3 seconds left the Clippers had a failed inbound play as Flaherty got the ball and had it tipped out by defender, with time ticking away he threw up a wild one handed hook that was right on line but missed out, sending us to OT. In OT both teams again played well and hit the big shots when needed, the Oaks had several chances when trailing and the team couldn't hit the shot in final seconds as Clippers got the ball and got it up court to dribble out the clock in a classic game. With the W, the Clippers were set to play Steamrollers in a 1 game seeding game to determine the 7 and the 8 seed, the Clippers then opted to forfeit that game, and accepted their fate as the 8 seed to play the Blackhawks.
