Samantha Thomas' late basket lifts No. 2 Centennial by No. 6 Samantha Thomas' stick-back basket with nine seconds to play allowed Centennial's girls basketball team to pull out a 66-64 win over Chaminade (Calif.) in a battle of nationally-ranked teams Saturday in the Nike Tournament of Champions in Gilbert, Ariz. Justice Ethridge had 13 points, and Bailey Thomas and Samantha Thomas each scored 12 for the Bulldogs, who are ranked No. 2 nationally by USA Today.
