Wasted Talents Put On a Clinic, Humble Old Heads in Court 1 Wasted Talents Put On a Clinic, Humble Old Heads in Court 1 Beatdown By Gary Pearson Turner GOSHEN, NY - There are wins. And then there are warnings. What Wasted Talents did to the Old Heads on Court 1 was not just a 10057 demolition it was a flashing neon sign to the rest of the league: yall better come correct. They didnt play down to the name on the schedule. They didnt coast. They came out firing and left no doubt. 51 in the first half. 49 in the second. Triple digits in a 40-minute game. Thats not basketball. Thats artistry with a mean streak. This wasnt a two-man show. It was an orchestra. But the conductor, the guy with the baton, the flamethrower, the full bag That was Kendrick Ray. Forty-five points. You read that right. 45. On 14 buckets. Five threes. Two free throws. And every one of them louder than the last. He didnt just score he broke spirits. Floaters, step-backs, corner bombs, coast-to-coasts. He did it all and still found time to drop 6 dimes and rip down 9 boards. And if Kendrick was the lead, Marcus Rhett was the enforcer. Quiet, efficient, and absolutely everywhere. Fifteen points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, and enough muscle in the paint to make the Old Heads think twice about driving. He was cleaning glass like he had a mop in one hand and a stat sheet in the other. Lets talk about Keeshawn Jones a menace on both ends. 15 points, 6 assists, 4 steals. He was the chaos engine, jumping passing lanes and starting breaks before the Old Heads could blink. His pace, his pressure thats what cracked the game wide open. And dont sleep on Tyrone Ray. Ten points, two triples, 5 assists, and a calming presence when the pace sped up. He moved the ball, found the open man, and made sure the offense never stalled. The Old Heads They had a few bright spots. Shemar McDonald dropped 26 and looked like the only guy unafraid to challenge the Wasted Talents defense. Anthony Deruiter added 15, mostly on tough makes. But there was no rhythm. No stops. No resistance. Wasted Talents shot 34-of-everything and dished out 32 assists. You read that right 32. Thats not a team. Thats a movement. By the second half, the Old Heads were just trying to make it out without more bruises. And by the final buzzer, Wasted Talents wasnt celebrating. They were warning the rest of the league. You better bring more than a name. Because theyre bringing hell in sneakers.
