Torres and Boogie Guide Old Heads Past Roadrunners Torres and Boogie Guide Old Heads Past Roadrunners The Old Heads displayed veteran poise and teamwork in a 74-55 win over the Roadrunners on Sunday afternoon at Court 1. Behind a high-efficiency performance from Josue Torres and a deep shooting showcase by Eli Boogie, the Old Heads controlled the pace from start to finish. Torres was unstoppable in the halfcourt, pouring in a game-high 31 points on 11 field goals, including three from beyond the arc. He added 11 rebounds and 2 steals, leading both teams in total boards and making his presence felt on both ends of the floor. Eli Boogie brought his trademark flair to the game, knocking down five three-pointers and finishing with 21 points. His perimeter shooting stretched the defense and opened up the floor for his teammates to operate. Kenny Jones provided glue-guy value, stuffing the stat sheet with 8 points, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 5 rebounds. Despite the loss, the Roadrunners had bright moments, particularly from Melvin Henderson, who battled in the paint for 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Victor Alicea Roja was another standout, scoring 12 points while adding 7 rebounds and 4 assists, showing versatility and hustle throughout the contest. Carlos Roja added a pair of threes and played with tenacity on defense, while Joshua Torress chipped in 6 points off the bench. The Old Heads' blend of experience and ball movement proved too much for the Roadrunners on this occasion, but both teams left the court with plenty to build on heading into their next matchups.
