Blackout Rallies Late to Edge Showtime in a Morning Thriller In one of the most exciting games of the day, Blackout mounted a strong second-half surge to claim a narrow 65-63 victory over Showtime on Court 3. The game featured multiple lead changes, big-time shot-making, and standout performances from both squads. Joel Marrero led the charge for Blackout with 20 points, including three critical three-pointers that helped swing momentum in the second half. His clutch shooting and composure were instrumental in the comeback. Rodney Bell and Shabon Burton each added 15 points, showing versatility with drives to the basket and smooth finishes. Both were perfect from the line, combining for eight made free throws. Marc Herasme chipped in with 10 points and brought defensive energy, racking up 3 steals and 2 threes to add an extra spark. As a team, Blackout?s pressure defense paid off with 6 steals and timely scoring to seal the win. Showtime looked strong early, building a 30-25 lead at the break behind the efforts of Cory King, who finished with 15 points, including a three and four made free throws. Jarad McCann scored 11 and stayed aggressive throughout, while Bobby Rukaj had a big presence on the glass, scoring 10 and grabbing 7 rebounds. Treyvon Defreece hit two threes on his way to 8 points, while Patrick Outwater added 9 and brought toughness in the paint. Myles Debrcourt and Nasir Gibbs contributed key buckets and active defense, keeping Showtime competitive all game long. Although Showtime came up just short, they showed great poise and effort across the board. Blackout?s ability to finish strong and execute late made the difference in what was a hard-fought, back-and-forth battle.
