Let It Fly Outguns Get Money, Moves to 3-1 Final 73-64! Let It Fly continues to soar in the standings, using a hot start and clutch defense to hold off Get Money, 73-64, on Saturday afternoon at Court 1. The win improves Let It Fly to 3-1 on the season, while Get Money drops to an even 2-2. Let It Fly came out blazing, racing to a 27-15 first-quarter lead behind the active hands and fast pace led by Schyler Trujillo and Frankie Fuzie. Trujillo was everywhere, finishing with 15 points, 4 assists, and a game-high 6 steals, while Fuzie poured in 18 points on 9 made field goals and added 7 boards. The second quarter was more of the same, with Let It Fly extending their lead to 48-35 at the break. Though Get Money surged in the third behind Shabon Burton (18 points, 6 assists) and Kenly Pierre (12 points, 11 boards), Let It Fly held their ground thanks to timely buckets from Tim Stephens (13 points) and continued hustle from Adrian Echols (15 points, 5 assists). Get Money out-rebounded Let It Fly 53-34, thanks in large part to Parrish Canty's monstrous 14-rebound effort and double-digit boards from both Alex Hayes and Shaq Williams. But the rebounding advantage couldn't offset a barrage of turnovers, many of them created by Let It Fly's swarming defense, which recorded 13 steals and 3 blocks. Let It Fly's combination of pressure defense and balanced scoring ultimately proved too much, as they closed out the game with key stops in the fourth. Let It Fly (3-1) will look to keep the momentum going in their next outing, while Get Money (2-2) aims to regroup and tighten up on both ends of the floor.
