Get Money Makes a Statement: 81?56 Rout Get Money Makes a Statement: 81?56 Rout Sends Them to the Finals Goshen, NY ? August 23, 2025 The message was loud. The execution, surgical. And the scoreboard? A warning shot. Get Money stormed into the championship game of The Jump?s 30 & Older League with an 81?56 dismantling of The Presidential Family in Saturday?s semifinal. After a shaky first quarter, they flipped the switch?and never looked back. This wasn?t just a win. It was a statement. Early Nerves, Then Total Control The Presidential Family came out swinging, taking a 20?16 lead after one quarter. But that was the last time they controlled anything. In the second quarter, Get Money adjusted?tightened up the defense, cut down turnovers, and started moving the ball with purpose. A 20?11 second period swung the momentum permanently. By the time the third quarter rolled in, Get Money was a machine: swarming defense, active hands, and fast breaks that turned into dunks, layups, and wide-open threes. They dropped 24 in the third. Then 21 more in the fourth. Meanwhile, The Presidential Family?s offense dried up under relentless pressure. Burton Leads the Charge The engine behind it all? Shabon Burton, who looked like he was built for this moment. He racked up 24 points, 10 assists, and 2 steals, slicing through defenders and finding teammates with eyes in the back of his head. He played like a man possessed?controlled, patient, but absolutely lethal when the time came. Alex Hayes was a force in the paint, scoring 18 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, while Pablo Sanchez added 16 points with physical play down low. Shaq Williams gave the team a huge spark with four three-pointers, finishing with 13 points and some big-time energy on both ends. They shared the ball, crashed the boards, locked down on defense, and most importantly?kept their foot on the gas. From Veteran League to Vicious Run Get Money?s performance didn?t look like your typical 30 & Over league ball. It looked like something more polished, more ruthless. Every possession felt intentional. Every rotation had purpose. They weren?t just playing?they were executing a blueprint. And now, they?re headed to the final. One Game Away Standing between them and the championship is the winner of the other semifinal: Let It Fly vs. Blue Hearts. Let It Fly has been one of the flashiest, most confident squads all season. Blue Hearts plays with grit and toughness. Either one will bring a different kind of challenge. But if this semifinal was any preview of what Get Money?s bringing to the final, one thing is clear: They?re not just trying to win. They?re out to dominate.
