AREA ROUNDUP: Wildcats whip Bears in Avista third-place game

Lapwai topped Moscow 72-51 on Saturday to claim third-place boys basketball honors in the Avista Holiday Tournament at the P1FCU Activity Center on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College.

The victorious Wildcats (7-2) were paced by Kase Wynott?s 21 points. Ahlius Yearout (16) and Joseph Payne (13) were also in double figures.

Traiden Cummings led the the Bears (4-5) with 19 points. Ian Hillman pitched in 12 and Brayson Reed had 10.
