Virginia smothers St. John's defensively
The rims will take a long time to get used to at CR South and they were not very friendly to the St. John's Red Storm on opening night. St. John's went out to an early 5-0 lead and then Virginia went on 10-0 run after 10-0 run. To begin the second half was another 10-0 run to break the game to a 20+ point game throughout. This game ended in the 2 minute 15+ point mercy rule with player of the game Brandon Feinstein having 25 points and 11 rebounds.
