Pee Wee Shamrocks roll over Amityville
The BCAC Pee Wee Shamrocks hosted Amityville this past Saturday night. The Shamrocks were ready for this game after a lackluster performance in a week 6 road loss at Valley Stream.
The Offense stormed onto the field ready to run the rock. RB Rob Kollmer took a handoff from QB Mario Cimino, following RB’s Danny Hoff, Jordan Jessup, WR Theo Stathis, TE Christian Paulich and his strong OL of Anthony Russo, Kyle Hilgendorf, CJ Galimi, Keith Servello and Charlie Bostwick for 10 yards.Runs by Mario Cimino (25 yard) and Paulich (13 yards) brought the ball to the Amityville 7, Mario Cimino ran off tackle for a TD and the XP and a Shamrock 7-0 lead.
The Defense started off strong, led by DE’s Jordan Jessup, Bobby Martin, DL Matt Ostrander, Michael Krzyzanowski, Cameron Manzi, Patrick Minihane, Liam Malsy, LB’s Steven Kenny, Anthony Cimino, Robert Kollmer, Safety’s Luke Hanning and Michael Torres. Amityville tried running outside but was stopped by Kollmer and Cimino, on 3rd down the Shamrock DL forced a fumble recovered by Jessup. Rob Kollmer took the next handoff and followed his blockers for a 42 yard TD and a Shamrock 13-0 lead. Amityville went up the middle for 8 yards but Jessup stripped the RB and Bobby Martin recovered for another Amityville turnover. Christian Paulich took over the Shamrock offense and ran a QB keep for a 35 yard TD and a 19-0 lead. Amityville took over with less than 4 minutes in the half, Luke Hanning and Michael Torres made some key tackles but Amityville scored on a sweep, Kyle Hilgendorf and Charlie Bostwick stuffed the XP.
The 3rd quarter opened and the Shamrock Defense forced 2 more fumbles and a turnover on downs. The Offense took over on the Amityville 40. Liam Malsy ran a QB sweep following blocks by Kollmer, Stathis, Hoff, Jessup and Cimino for a 23 yard gain. On 3rd and 10 Malsy ran a sweep to the outside following his blockers for a 19 yard TD. Charlie Bostwick went off tackle for the XP. Amityville tried to rally but the Shamrock Defense was too strong, Steven Kenny, Cameron Manzi, Matt Ostrander, Patrick Minihane and Michael Krzyzanowski along with the rest of the defense stuffed 4 consecutive runs for another turnover on downs. Anthony Cimino opened the next Offensive series with runs of 20 and 5 yards. On 1st and 10 from the 15, Bobby Martin ran a sweep for a 15 yard TD to close the game. Shamrocks 32 – Amityville 6
