COBRACounty April 17, 2019 8:49:14 PM Entry ID: 2092351 | Cobra World, I'm back BAYBEEEE. COBRA DOS opening night will be here in 5 days, so to keep you going here is my draft analysis. 1. Fein- Draft Grade- 94. The King set himself up for success like he usually does. I have his starting 5 ranked as the best, and his bench coming in as the 3rd best bench. Draft pretty much went according to plan for fein, got his 2 guys at 12,13 and got some of his boys later on. if it aint broke, dont fix it. 2. Ian- Draft Grade- 93. The rookie captain comes in just short of the king. Huge surprise considering he got shafted on majority of his picks, the best available route did wonders for Mr. Drumm. I have his starting 5 ranked #2, bench #2 as well. This team is deep, this team is scary, this team could win it all if the chemistry is right. 3. McGinty- Draft Grade- 91. Another rook captain coming in towards the top. Great draft by the rugrat, obviously his falling out with lally has paid off wonders. Mcginty has the 3rd best starting lineup and the BEST bench in the league. If he can control the minutes correctly and keep everybody happy, they might be able to get her done this season. 4. Schaefer- Draft Grade- 89. Typical draft for andy, seems like it went pretty according to plan for him. I have his starting 5 ranked 4th best, and his bench is the middle of the pack, not awful, but nothing special. two question marks in oneill and olenski though, could pay off for him or could cost him the season. 5. Rambo- Draft Grade- 87. Rambo's big 3 has been better in recent years, but if Doug pans out to be the player he's supposed to be, and cob does his thing, they could be scary good and finish top 2. pfender as the 4th was a solid role player athlete pick. I have his starting 5 and bench both coming in at 5th best in the league. 6. Affet- Draft Grade- 83. Affet took some gambles but he stuck to his guns and drafted exactly how he said he was going to. Homsher comes down to his availability, Ostrich is a question mark, can he get haslett to buy in? i guess well find out. 7. Pierson- Draft Grade- 81. Pierson's draft seems to have went according to plan from what i could imagine. Cody was always the pick at 1, Sherno is a solid pick, Haines was always the plan, and then a solid role playing mish to round out his starting 5. Got the starting 5 ranked at 8th best, but his bench coming in at 4th best with blaydon, pew, and dittes. 8. Duffy- Draft Grade- 80. Seemed to me like duffy didnt have much of a plan (as always) and without mccloskey in the draft, he didnt have much to rely on. Nicol was probably one of his top 3 choices at that slot, but then going ritterson and defeo, idk about that. His boy rob jones rounds out his starting 5. I have the starters ranked 7th best, bench is mediocre. Theyll make the playoffs by the skin of their teeth. 9. Phil- Draft Grade- 76. I have no idea wtf phil was doing with this draft. He would've been better taking his best buds (and thats saying alot). Keelan, not a bad pick if he shows up every game (but he won't). Kerr? wtf was that, Kerr is a mid to late 3rd, if not an early 4th rounder at best. To pull him mid 2nd round was wild, especially since he don't show up to every game either. Joe Brown solid pick, Glenn early 3rd round? another head scratcher. Also his bench is absolutely trash, I have his starters ranked 9th best, his bench is 11th in the league. Phil is in for a very long season. Enjoy Phil! 10. Tony- Draft Grade- 74. Sam was a stretch at 8. Again if he showed up every game, it'd be a great pick, but hes inconsistent with his availability. Kishbaugh wasn't an awful pick but Tony isn't a scorer himself so he probably should've went with a player not so comparable to himself, like a joe brown or ritterson. Nick Jones at 32 and gottlieb at 44, head scratchers. Neither are awful role players, but at those # picks there are easily better options. 11. Vince- Draft Grade- 68. Vince struck gold with Shev, but then his picks turned to dog poop. Dugs at 22 and Shaw at 27, those other captains had to be in tears after hearing those god awful picks. Ulrich is a question mark. And then vince turns in the worst bench in the league by a long shot. Harker, Hogaie, Hall, Donbomb is a 4 headed monster nobody wants and the fact he created that monster with picks 61,75,85, and 94 is absolutely astonishing, great work Vince! 12. McGarry- Draft Grade- 63. who tf approved this jack wagon to be a captain?! Trading up to get Brickman at 6 (hes never seen the man play) and Coyne at 21 (he also never seen the man play) followed by little baby ry murray at 34 and little baby carpini at 48. This is the worst starting 5 in the league. 0 chemistry, availability issues, paired with a rookie captain, TP3 may be the only bright spot on this team besides brickman making a run at ROY. Lets start with the biggest surprise. Tony Pallanta had no clue what to do this season. Started with the team choice, Then the trade to the youngbuck Mcginty, Then taking Sam at pick at 8, then Kisbaugh 17. Tony had to have paniced at 8 with Sam. Sam is solid but he isnt enough. Tonys worst pick was probably Kisbaugh at 17 tho his best was probably Westerman in rd 8. Dont expect any playoff games in Alaska. Next well go over to Cameron Indoor Stadium. Rambo did what we all expected took a big 3. This 3 is a elite doug chris and bo can win alot of games. After those three he has Pfender Jonah and Taylor who have all proved themselves in the past. This team will make the playoffs cob will be in contention for the scoring title. Rambos best pick was Doug. Worst pick was Jonah. Next squad is vet Duffy Barrett. He got Tyler Nicol to start who people love to hate. Duffy will regret not taking his pal Ray Costa in the 2nd but Ritterson is no slouch. This team will be able to defend and score with every team. Rachlin Victor and Paccitto will need to give something. His best pick was Tyler. His worst pick was Paccitto. The next squad is Vince Mcilwains team. Vince made the best decision of his captaining career taking Shev at 3. After that it was all down hill from there. He then took Dugan, Shaw, Ulrich. Vinces bench is the leagues worst. Hoagland, Hall, and Donohue will lose this team games.There will be no playoff games in Georgetown His best pick is Shev comer. Worst is Shaw. Phil Carpino up now. Phil had good picks. Got superstar Keelan Adams, then got Kerr, Brown and Glenn. The leagues best starting 5. Keelans attendance and Phil not wanting to kill Glenn and Kerr will be the biggest factor for this team. His best pick was Keelan. Worst is by far Tim kerr that early. Richmond up next, Andrew shocked us all and took leagues best player Jake Mcmahon. Rumors that jake is hurt and is moving later this summer. Who knows with this kid. Andrew then got lockdown defenders Behan and Schmidt. Andrew never disspoaints at the draft. This team will be as good as all of his teams. 1 or a 2 seed. His best pick was Elan. Worst pick was his brother. St. Johns is the next disaster I mean team. Pierson took Cody who can win you a game any night but after that Haines and Sherno is his only serviceable players. His best pick Cody Worst pick Blaydon. The UCLA Bruins up. Affet did it again dooped everyone of you captains and got the best team in the league again. Dave is a top 3 talent. Jimmy is amazing. Ostritch is an unknown but sounds very good. Angelo is amazing, stock also unknown. Regardless best team on paper. Best Pick was haslett. Worst pick was none. Ian the rookie captain was next and he struggled. Luckily Ian is a better player than draft planner. Kid should have known he would not get his guys. Forced to take Mason which was a great pick, next he got one a solid player Grundy. Got his own blood Billy. Team will compete every night. Best Pick Grundy. Worst pick Dj Pierson. King Cobra is up now. RYan Smith is top 10 in this league to go along with the best defensive player in the league. These two and Brnadon will run through other teams top 3. Quinn Haun Fars all will contribute heavily. Best pick Ryan Smith Worst pick Frank Pratico Part one of the young captains is up. Wisconsin and mcginty struggled out the gate and took Sibel. Hes one of the most talented out there but he just does not show often. Vas and Dimartino were his next two picks which were solid. Ostritch should be decent from rumors. Laiter Pokedoff and Murray will be important if Sibel cant show. Best pick Vas Worst pick Sibel. Corey Mcgarry i dont know if you warrant a summary. Your team will not have the luck of Wofford in the NCAA tournament. Corey nd Brickman will need to average a combined 50 and 35 to even compete. Sorry Corey. |

Bo goes with his new old reliable (used to be Duffy) but now Cody. 5. Mcginty panics while on clock but still a good pick Mason. 6. Phil makes same mistake as Haines and drafts Doug in hopes for Doug to carry the weight of their rookie captain szn. 7. Duffy has to go with his last option and pulls on Nicol. 8. Tony regrets moving back, cant find shelepets name on the player list, takes COB. 9. Ian realizes this man wont fall to 16 like he had hoped, drafts Brickman. 10. Little Mcgarry shocks the world and takes a top 3 player that slides 27 ppg, 47% fg from fall szn Homsher. 11. Affet decides to stick with the defensive minded player, pulls Acor. 12. The King is finally on the clock, gets his man Ry Smith. 13. The King cant pass up his favorite oversized softie, snags Keelan. 14. Rambo completes his "big 3" Mike Schmidt. 15. Mcgarry sticks with the offense, goes with Ritterson. 16. Ian gets his guard, Jimmy Hass. 17. Tony takes his first picks buddy, Sam Ryan. 18. Duffy gets his mans, StingRay. 19. Phil on the clock, hears his phone, ring ring ringer alert, Jimmy Ulrich. 20. Mcginty goes big, Sherno. 21. Affet sticks with same plan as tony, takes his first pick butt buddy, Grundy. 22. Vince gets his old captain, Joe Brown. 23. Schaf follows affet and tony footsteps, takes shev right hand man, behan. 24. Phil brings the second round to an end, gets his shooter, Dugan. |
